Hello from Kognic!

As summer heats up, we're excited to introduce some cool new features that will make your annotation work effortless.

Relative Keyframe

When annotating objects with fixed relationships, our relative keyframe feature automatically places boxes at the same relative position across all keyframes.

Simply right-click any object to access this feature in the context menu.

Benefits

  • Significantly reduces annotation time for common multi-object scenarios
  • Maintains consistent relative positioning automatically
  • Improves accuracy when tracking related objects

Quality Strategies for accurate Project metrics

Now you can choose how quality is calculated for your projects and set thresholds that align with your specific needs.

Previously, we used a one-size-fits-all approach to quality calculation. Based on your feedback, we've developed multiple strategies to provide more meaningful and relevant quality assessments:

  • Gross Feedback Objects: Calculates quality based on feedback items per object (our classic method)
  • Faulty Objects: Measures the percentage of objects with feedback against the total objects
  • Faulty Shapes: Evaluates the percentage of shapes with feedback against the total shapes

You can now set custom thresholds between 0 and 1 to define what constitutes "passing" quality for your projects.

Working time reminder

When you open a task, Kognic automatically checks if your working timer is active. If not, a friendly reminder dialogue appears, prompting you to start timing your work.

This update ensures more precise time reporting across projects, which is particularly beneficial for users who directly access the annotation app.

Accurate time tracking means better resource allocation and project planning. For more details, visit our time reporting documentation.
