Hello from Kognic!

As we wrap up 2025, we're have some new features that will help you kick off the new year even better. This final newsletter of the year highlights three updates, all designed to give you deeper visibility into your annotation work and quality performance.

Thank you for being part of the Kognic community this year. Here's to an even more productive 2026!

📊 New Productivity Metrics

We've unveiled three powerful new KPIs in Productivity Insights that give you deeper visibility into your annotation work:

  • Average Reported Time per Shape – Track efficiency down to the second
  • Average Reported Time per Task – See task duration in an easy-to-read format (like "2h 15m")
  • Time Allocation – Understand how much of your reported time is spent actively annotating vs. other activities

These metrics are now available to everyone with access to Productivity Insights, helping you optimize performance and make data-driven decisions. 💯

Quality Alignment Metrics improvements

Quality Alignment metrics are now available directly in your Standard Workflow phases (Quality Review and Expert Verification). You can now view per-user performance trends including alignment scores, precision, recall, geometry accuracy, and property accuracy, all without leaving your workflow.

What you can do:

  • Toggle between "This phase" and "Entire project" views
  • Filter by specific users and check sample counts
  • See alignment scores right where you set sampling levels

Quality Managers and team leads can now spot alignment issues instantly, coach team members with data-driven insights, and adjust sampling levels in one place.

Learn more in our Quality Alignment documentation.

We've also expanded our Quality Alignment Metrics to give individual annotators and team managers insights into annotation quality.

What you'll get:

  • Real-time tracking of how well your work aligns with quality standards
  • Four key performance dimensions: geometry accuracy, property accuracy, precision, and recall
  • Personal insights through Campus > My Productivity
  • Team-level analytics in Team Management > Productivity Insights

The feature automatically calculates metrics from existing review data (no setup required).
