Providing Data Annotation Tools and Services to Korea, Supporting Robo-buses, Robo-taxis, Level 2+ ADAS, and Robotics
Gothenburg, Sweden/Seoul, Republic of Korea, August 10, 2026 – Kognic, the Gothenburg-based annotation platform specializing in human feedback for ADAS and autonomous driving, has partnered with Mobilix, a Korean company specializing in autonomous driving and mobility, to enable the construction of autonomous driving and physical AI data flywheels. This collaboration will allow for the full-scale provision of production-grade human feedback tooling and expert services to Korea.
The purpose of this collaboration is to provide Korean customers with physical AI data flywheels, which are used to improve methods for extracting, triaging and processing training and validation data collected by autonomous vehicles and robots in real-world environments. To allow for assembly of a full pipeline encompassing data collection, curation, annotation and iterative training/validation/retraining, both companies plan to simultaneously enhance the capabilities of Korean customers and accelerate development in the autonomous driving and robotics industries. In particular, the offering unlocked by this collaboration will make data-driven functional improvements visible to the teams responsible for Mobilix’s Robo-bus and Robo-taxi operations, and to Level 2+ ADAS and autonomous driving developers. This involves building iterative structures around actual operational data to meet challenges such as increasing data complexity and volume, quality requirements at scale, identification of unexpected situations/behaviors or rare events as well as true understanding of the relation between data and model behavior, all with the goal of enhancing the performance of automated vehicle systems. Kognic’s strength lies in its ability to integrate and process non-synchronized multi-sensor data, including cameras, LiDAR, and radar, leveraging its data annotation platform specialized for ADAS and autonomous driving.
